Dear Volunteers,
Here is a message from the Key Largo woodrat volunteer guys, Clay and Ralph DeGayner, about March's very successful woodrat nest building workday. Many thanks to all who participated:

We split into two groups and were able to cover 24 supplemental shelters with
coral.

This exceeded our wildest expectations by far. The 8 o'clock start
time was perfect with some arriving at 9 to assist. Everyone got a
tour of either the Nike site or woodrat activity at the old shack and
car dump. It was amazing what 15 people can accomplish in four hours.

We have received a report on the 3 year effectiveness of the shelters
in draft form prepared by Disney that will be shared with everyone soon.

Thank you FAVOR and thank you for your help.

Clay and Ralph

A big thank you to wildlife photographer and volunteer Kevin Barry. Look out for Kevin's photos in environmental and local newspapers/magazines. Kevin took photos of our last Woodrat nest workday. Check out his viewing platform (light box) www.agpix.com/platform/woodrat

Please contact me if you have any questions, comments.
